Throughout history, greed has been a canker that has prevented mankind from progressing in this life. This book gives an account of two friends who lost their friendship and therefore their great potential for the future because of greed. The two friends refused to trust each other and compromise on a simple matter as enjoying the fruits of their jointly acquired labour. In the end, the Monkey took advantage of their greed and deprived them of enjoying their harvest.
